It’s that time of year again. Fun in the sun and musical delights from some of Chicago’s finest and the nations most creative!
This year we will be offering up the sounds of the legendary Joe Claussell who has worked with everyone from Francois K to Danny Krivit and produced litany of dance floor anthems. In addition Ron Trent will be gracing us with his atmospheric audio creations. Ron is a Chicago native who has been at the helm of house and dance music heralding it’s progression into sound that incorporates afro-latin influences. These two greats are not all that we have to offer either. Music Fashion Art & Dance will all come together on a lovely Saturday afternoon in July. Other talent to be showcased throughout the event TBA
we also will be having tango lessons, womens derby, skateboard tricks and instructional jump rope. The Sound System Block Party is an interactive event that boasts DJs, live music performances, artists, fashion shows, children’s activities, mural artists and
excellent food from around the neighborhood. The event will have three stages with the main stage on Evergreen and Milwaukee, The Backyard Patio, just behind the Silver Room as well as The
In-Store platform. In total, the three stages will showcase 30 hours of varied performances.
This event will close down Evergreen Street between
Milwaukee and Wicker Park Avenues for the full-day block party that extends into the Silver Room store location at 1442 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. The event will take place
from 11am to 10pm with an official after party to follow at a local venue.

Coming from the rubble of what some consider a very trying time in the world of music, the universe inserts Fathom DJ. “My mission To be the conveyor of the feeling of good music regardless to genre.” With this in mind, Fathom’s set features a variety of soulful sounds to satisfy both radio listeners as well as those who delve deeper into the obscure. Roy Ayers, Kindred The Family Soul and Eric Roberson are just a few of the artist she has opened for through alignment with both commercial as well as private event planners and promoters. Fathom has maintained residencies in some of Chicago’s hottest night spots including Funky Buddha Lounge, Darkroom, Cuatro, Sinibar and Tantrum. Steadfast in continuing to build her brand, she is readying herself to enter the world of music production. Through music Fathom Dj is touching a wide audience of listeners and creating a following to secure a space as one of the planets most respected female dj’s.
